Training:Churches neglect to provide intentional training to clergy and laity that focuses on how to address spiritual and emotional wounds. In order to be involved in fruitful ministry, training is essential, and it must be intentional (Garlow). Nurturing: Church leaders are frequently placed in positions and left with no to little support. Many onlookers observe and decline being placed in leadership positions. A nurtured vine has a higher probability of fruitfulness than the one left alone (Babarinde). Transforming: Transforming involves fostering the emergence of other leaders, becoming responsible for each other’s spiritual growth, and moving beyond education, guided by the holy spirit to address the brokenness in self & others to allow ministries to thrive in the work of God’s agenda.
